Mayday Parade is a group of awesome guys that have been doing really well at playing music for over a decade now. They are also from the same town that I live in, Tallahassee Florida. Growing up in the same area, I even had the pleasure of playing a little music with a few of these guys years ago. I've also had the pleasure of making tattoos for them as well, atleast the guys who have them. We spent many years and had a lot of fun making this Florida themed tattoo for Brooks,
his hair is so much nicer than mine too. hahahah

Sometimes tattoos are great to remember the moment you are at in life, just the time and place. 11-11-11 only happens once, but the band and crew of Lucero were able to make it last forever.
After meeting these guys on a previous tour, The All-American Rejects invited me out to make a few little tattoos for them along the way on other tours as well, it's an honor to be asked to make tattoos like this for people, no matter how big or small the tattoo may be, the memory is unforgetable. This tattoo on Nick is to remind him of a band that inspired him to play music, do you recognize it? Tattooing a successful band's logo on the band members,
I'm honored to be a part of this. April 2006, I was invited to tattoo on the "Black Clouds and Underdogs Tour" with my friends in the band From First to Last, they were opening for Fall Out Boy on this tour. Looking back now, I'd say that this few months of my life was pretty eye opening and lifechanging in a sense. I rememeber having a great time on this tour with everyone associated, band members and crew alike, making tons of new friends and tattooing a lot along the way. Usually people that love tattoos also love to have a good time, especially this guy.. Dirty! hahahah Making friends along the way is what makes tattooing special to me, every day is different. The All-American Rejects were on this tour also, this was the first time I got to know these guys and make a few little tattoos for them too, all around great guys and good times. Long with making friends and tattoos for them also comes great adventures, Fall Out Boy played during Grad Night at Disney World during this tour, my new friend Joe Trohman invited me to join them on these few days as well, pretty awesome! I remember walking into the amusement park with members Joe and Pete and only making it about 20 yards before having to run from group of people wanting to meet the guys. Not long after we had a full VIP treatment of being escorted in a van underground, going ride to ride and taking elevators up to the tops of whatever rides we were wanting to get on. There was an entire world under ground, I've never experienced anything like it. Other random bonds were made that I would have never imagined as well. During a day off we linked up with Mikey Way from My Chemical Romance for a few days and I made a tattoo for him as well. This also happened to be his first tattoo, pretty cool. Wes Borland was along a surprise, touring with FFTL playing bass, which he also wrote and recorded on one of their albums as well.
Tattoo coverups are very common and not easy to do. This tattoo of Medusa is one that was done many years ago by myself, Craig Beasley, and one that I really enjoyed making for a great guy named Tyler. I really enjoy helping people with getting a second chance and starting over with a new tattoo. I made this tattoo sometime around 2007 i think, roughly 10 or more years ago. Im sure if I were to do this tattoo today it would be a lot different, but I learned a lot while making this tattoo and really enjoyed becoming friends with and doing more work with him again since. Thanks Tyler!
This is a flashback to a tattoo that I feel was very defining for myself as an artist and young tattooer. I made this tattoo sometime around the year 2003-2004 I think. A great guy named Matt got this tattoo from me while I was working in Marietta, Georgia at Psycho Tattoos with a few guys that really taught me a lot as well. I have very great memories with this tattoo and I hope you enjoy it as well. I still enjoy seeing the life meter and hearts at the top along with the keys and rupees below.
I made this Mario Brothers Tattoo over 10 years ago on a guy named Jacob. At the time I was tattooing in Valdosta, Georgia at the very first tattoo studio that owned. This tattoo was a lot of fun to design and took around 20 hours to make, I think. It is located on a leg, knee down fully connected. I really enjoy doing this style of tattooing, I'm not sure what to call it though, "Painterly" I guess?
